The Trellis School

The Trellis School is the first of its kind, MSDE-acredited and MANSEF-affiliated, non-public elementary school in Maryland. Our curriculum focuses on capturing a learner's motivation through one-on-one instruction in order to teach and reinforce new skills.
Highly-trained educators use cutting-edge Applied Verbal Behavior (AVB) methodology to build strong foundational communication, learner readiness, academic, social, and play skills. Learners experience individualized, innovative, research- based instruction. The approach focuses on capturing a learner's motivation in order to teach and reinforce new skills.
The school day includes individualized one-to-one instruction, academic small-group instruction, and speech and occupational therapy. Our learners' educational experience is enhanced by ongoing access to sensory motor equipment and materials, a cozy library, computers with age appropriate software, as well as a variety of indoor and outdoor play areas.
Children enrolled in the school are in grades pre-K 2 through grade 2 with educational disability codes 14-autism and 04-speech and language impairment.
School Partnerships
For the 2011-2012 school year, The Trellis School has partnered with Baltimore and Howard counties to provide school based services within public school settings. Additional partnerships and consultative opportunities are being explored.
