Available Positions
Our instructors provide one to one in-home support for activities of daily living, community support and recreational/leisure skills for children ages 9-21 with autism.
Instructor applicant requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Have at least 100 hours of experience in the field of autism or learning delayed
- Must be able to pass state and federal criminal background checks
- Possess a high school diploma or GED
- Consent to a driving record check
- Have proof of current auto insurance

The Trellis School has an immediate opening for an offsite Autism Intervention Instructor located in a Carroll County public elementary school near Sykesville, MD.The instructor will work 1:1 with the student to provide instruction and support within a self-contained classroom, under the direction of the special education teacher and Trellis consultant. Applicants must have at least one year of experience working with children with autism spectrum disorders. A strong desire to pursue a career related to this field is imperative. Must be a fast learner who is reliable, self-motivated and able to drop pretense in order to reach children on a meaningful level. A four-year undergraduate degree is preferred. Professional training and supervision in Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) with a strong emphasis on Applied Verbal Behavior will be provided. This is a full-time position, with benefits, and opportunity for tuition reimbursement. The hours are Monday - Friday

Under the Director of Clinical Services, the BCBA conducts field visits, develops client goals, reviews data and monitors client progress, periodically video records client sessions for supervision, makes program modifications as needed, provides parent training and education, and conducts regular team meetings. The BCBA also monitors staff competency and performance through collection of fidelity and reliability data, assessment of staff competencies, and provision and monitoring of staff professional development goals.
