Love 2 Learn Clinic
Our Love 2 Learn early intervention clinic establishes foundational behaviors that allow children to grow as learners and communicators. Our purpose is to provide goal-directed services that incorporate effective teaching procedures to establish appropriate early childhood learning and language skills to prepare learners for other preschool learning opportunities.
The Love 2 Learn Clinic provides one-to-one instruction to children between the ages of 18 months and five years using the Applied Verbal Behavior methodology). Each learner is assessed using the VB-MAPP (Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment and Placement Program), and an individualized treatment plan is created by our Program Managers prior to the learner's first day in the clinic.
Parent training and networking is an integral part of a learner's program. With better understanding of our model of service, parents are equipped with a basic understanding of effective teaching strategies and ways to enhance play opportunities in the home and community.
The clinic is located on our Hunt Valley Educational Center and operates in two- hour sessions (8:15- 10:15, 10:45-12:45 and 1:30-3:30) Monday through Friday for a series of 8 to 12 weeks. Occupational therapy and speech services are also available.
